Job Summary:

In this role, you will develop and execute strategies for full cycle recruitment in support of the UniFirst business. You will build relationships and consult with Hiring Managers having the freedom to interact with key leaders to drive the Talent Acquisition strategy for a range of critical positions. Also, this role is responsible for ensuing hiring compliance in accordance with applicable employment regulations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support the development and execution of the Talent Acquisition strategy to attract and select the best talent.
  • Work in partnership with Hiring Managers to understand job requirements, recommending sourcing channels and setting timescales for delivery.
  • Maintain an active candidate pipeline using a mix of channels including direct networks, university relations, military relations, and state resources.
  • Act as an ambassador of the UniFirst Corporation brand, taking an active role to promote UniFirst internally and in the external market through networks, conferences, social media, university partnerships, etc.
  • Provide proactive hiring solutions to deliver a competitive advantage in Talent Acquisition.
  • Maintain effective relationships with current recruitment vendors and evaluate new vendors as needed.
  • Display strong business acumen, staying current on the recruiting industry and on competitors Talent Acquisition strategy.
  • Assist with annual creation and execution of the Talent Acquisition budget.
  • Manage the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) including the creation of requisitions and maintaining job postings.
  • Assist with the writing/amending of job descriptions to accurately explain the functions and qualifications of roles.
  • Screening and shortlisting of candidates during the interview process.
  • Conduct training to Hiring Managers on best recruiting practices, recruiting compliance, and the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 – 4 years of corporate Recruiting/Talent Acquisition experience.
  • Demonstrated passion for talent acquisition and significant experience identifying, screening, interviewing, and closing candidates of all functional expertise.
  • Ability to manage multiple requisitions, projects and candidates with little supervision and be able to meet standard measurements of success such as time to fill, cost per hire, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience providing a high level of customer service to all levels of leadership, including the executive level.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written, oral, and listening) as well as a high level of diplomacy and confidentiality will be required.
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office programs and applicant tracking systems is required. Experience implementing a new Applicant Tracking System is preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 40%.
  • Bachelor degree (BS/BA)
