Senior .Net Engineer

The senior .Net engineer will participate on a scrum team as a technical expert in analysis, design, coding, testing, and debugging new software or significant enhancements to existing software that are built using Microsoft technologies.

Responsibilities:

•Architect and build highly scalable applications through all phases of the development lifecycle (initial designs to production deployments)

•Develop and test software components using current industry tools and processes

•Provide engineering leadership and oversight on design, engineering and development of information technology solutions.

•Accountable for the effectiveness, quality and timeliness of project design decisions and how easily those designs can be implemented.

•Manages the troubleshooting and resolution of infrastructure compatibility issues based on systems architecture, project requirements and customer expectations.

•Provide comprehensive consultation to product owner and other IT staff at the highest technical level on all phases of the project development cycle.

•Work closely with local and distributed teams (both agile and non-agile)

•Continually evaluate existing systems and processes and provide ideas for improvement

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 7 years related IT experience
• 4+ years of experience in Microsoft application development (F#, C#, VB.Net)
• Experience in object-oriented programming and design patterns
• Experience with continuous integration
• Experience in Microsoft Windows Mobile development
• Experience with SQL
• Experience writing unit tests
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology and working experience in an agile environment is strongly desired.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly and efficiently
