2501571Support the Sales and Service Teams with RFI’s, RFPs, and standard proposal responses. Oversee the entire response process from initial receipt to final submission ensuring compliance, accuracy and timely delivery while collaborating with internal teams to create compelling and winning responses. Make sure our Qvidian database is robust and accurate. Take the lead and support the RFI Team Members on complex and deadline driven projects.
Responsibilities:
RFP/RFI/Proposals
- Working as an integral member of the sales support team, you will answer questions and provide the narrative needed to respond to all RFPs & RFIs.
- Read and comprehend complex and detailed RFP documents so that requirements are identified, and a successful response strategy is developed.
- Use our internal information database to identify appropriate answers to questions and create accurate and detailed responses to RFPs/RFIs.
- Ability to learn and use third party systems such as Ariba and Supplier Registration.
- Identify customer requirements that are not necessarily a good fit for UniFirst and work with Sales, Service, Legal, and Pricing Team to offer creative solutions that meet these requirements.
- Add creative professional touches to proposals to separate us from competitors.
- Coordinate the production of the final response so that all material is well organized and presented in a professional, cohesive, and timely fashion.

Information Database
- Create, gather, research, maintain, and organize information from companywide sources to continuously build a strong and diverse database.
- Update and edit existing materials and narrative to effectively communicate services, core capabilities, and key competitive advantages.
- Use all RFPs as a source of new Q&A’s that can be added to the existing database.
- Ensure the database is complete, robust and structured such that the time needed to respond to RFPs/RFIs is minimized.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field is preferred.
- 2 Years working an RFI/RFP specialist role or equivalent.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Detail oriented, strong problem-solving skills, and top-notch writing skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Must be a self-motivated team player but also work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with the sales and service teams and various subject matter experts.
- Must have flexibility to multi-task, prioritize, and change direction in a deadline driven environment.
- High competency in Word with the ability to learn other applications both in-house and on-line.
