UniFirst Corporation, one of North America’s largest uniform rental and facility service companies, is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic student to join the accounting team. The position is responsible for supporting the accounting department.

This will be a hybrid position based at our corporate headquarters in Wilmington, MA.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities
  • Participate in ERP implementation by performing reconciliation and tie-out activities
  • Collaborate with team members on ad hoc projects and initiatives to improve accounting processes
  • Help ensure compliance with internal controls and established accounting policies
  • Assist the team in responding to audit requests and gathering supporting documentation
Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and strong technical aptitude
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks with a strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized
  • Ability to work independently, must possess ability to multitask
  • Knowledge of US GAAP

Education:

  • Student currently enrolled in an accredited college/university degree program pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting
