UniFirst First Aid + Safety is seeking a reliable and hardworking Production Supervisor to join our family. As a Team Partner in the Production Department, you will be supervising the production department which could also include shipping/receiving or the warehouse and coordination activities of team partners with the Production Lead. When working with UniFirst First Aid + Safety we provide a variety of shifts. Our standard is a 5-day work week, enjoy two days off a week. We have an immediate opening and provide on the job training.

What you’ll be doing:
•    Oversee all safety and housekeeping activities.
•    Oversee all production activities for the department.
•    Control the flow of work using work orders based on demand of the product.
•    Responsible for quality as defined by the product specifications.
•    Supervise all activities in the department including planning, processes, and conformance to in-house procedures.
•    Utilize progressive techniques to counsel and develop team partners to reach optimal performance.
•    Determine and maintain proper staffing level to assure products meet shipping requirements.
Supervise all departmental staff including lead personnel. 
•    Control staffing efficiency and material usage in accordance with engineered standards.
•    Delegate additional job duties to subordinates.

What we’re looking for:
•    High school education and/or GED equivalent.
•    Must be 16 years of age or older.
•    Must be at least 18 years of age or older to operate machinery.
•    At least 2 years of relevant experience and/or supervisory experience is preferred. 
•    Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in English.
•    Ability to demonstrate excellent inter-personal skills to successfully assign, guide and instruct a team.  
•    Competency in various manufacturing processes.  
•    Knowledge and understanding of product lines and corporate expectations is preferred.
•    Ability to stand throughout an 8-hour shift. 
•    Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
