Production: 2nd Shift Plant Packer - UniFirst Owensboro

Plant Packer / Direct Sales Processor

General: Meet and comply with company policies and procedures, including but not limited to, work performance, quality, and attendance. Responsible for the timely and accurately packing and shipping of orders/cartons, which includes bulk processing, misweigh processing, and the loading of trailers. Will be required to work overtime as necessary. Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned by a supervisor or team leader.

Must be willing and able to actively participate in plant-wide safety activities.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently bend, squat, and step up to 14"; occasionally kneel and climb stairs; constantly stand, walk, reach, and grasp. Employee must have the ability to lift the following amounts of weight at and above shoulder level on occasions. Constantly lift up to 30 lbs, frequently lift up to 35 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 60 lbs. Frequently push up to 30 lbs and occasionally up to 40 lbs. Possess the ability to hear, talk, see, and distinguish between colors. In addition, this position requires cross-training in other areas of the facility.

Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent required

Language Skills: Required to read and write English and follow verbal and/or written instructions.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic mathematical functions.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed verbal and/or written instructions.
