Operations Supervisor – UniFirst First Aid + Safety

Our Team is Kind of a Big Deal!
UniFirst First Aid + Safety is seeking a reliable and hardworking Operations Supervisor to join our family. As a Team Partner in the Production Department, you will oversee and direct the activities of the teams that receive and handle items and deliveries and teams that pick, pack and ship customer orders. The Operations Supervisor supports and coordinates all functions within their department and makes key decisions regarding the unloading, intake, storage, and distribution of items. When working with UniFirst First Aid + Safety we provide a variety of shifts. Our standard is a 5-day work week, enjoy two days off a week. We have an immediate opening and provide on the job training.

What you’ll be doing:
•    Complete Warehouse Clerk training.
•    Oversee the daily checks of forklifts, reach trucks and scissors lift.
•    Works with Customer Service to be sure all the return authorizations are complete.
•    Work with scheduling & Procurement supervisor on weekly cycle counts and quarterly reserve
•    Monthly Checks and verification on bulk retention.
•    Sign off and log in information on chipboard logs as needed.
•    Assign Primary Bin locations for all new items.
•    Inspect products at time of delivery to determine damages and confirm the products is accurate.
•    Assists with picking, packing, and shipping as needed.
•    Verify the labeling of received items if needed and updating Bin locations and rotating goods.
•    Manages the receiving and warehousing of components, printed materials, and raw materials according to SOP.
•    Assemble documentation as required by SOP for incoming components and/or raw materials.
•    Keep picking locations full and accurate following First-In, First-Out (FIFO).
•    Maintains consistent workflow within receiving and shipping departments.
•    Continuously strives to begin having same day orders metered and staged for pickup by mi -morning each workday
•    Performs order picking and packing quality audits to ensure accuracy of outgoing shipments
•    Investigates and resolves all order picking, packing, and shipping errors and reports findings to the Fulfillment and Logistics Supervisor
•    Update Advance Shipping Notifications (ASN’s) daily.
•    Create and manage shipping batches daily.
•    Directs staging and loading of all out bound freight shipping via common carrier and LTL carriers.
•    Manage the distribution of all sales orders including to ensure they are shipped on time and accurately.
•    Ensures shipments are sent on proper carriers as directed by the Fulfillment and Logistics Supervisor and/or picking sheets.
•    Follow Current Good Manufacturing Processes (cGMP).
•    Perform other duties as described by leadership. 

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:
•    High school education and/or GED equivalent.
•    Must be 16 years of age or older.
•    Must be at least 18 years of age or older to operate machinery.
•    Strong leadership skills; ability to train potential techs and tech assistants.
•    At least 2 years of vocational school and/or supervisory experience or relevant experience is preferred. 
•    Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in English.
•    Ability to work well with others in the workplace. 
•    Must be detail-orientated.
•    Capacity to follow directions by leadership.
•    Ability to stand throughout an 8-hour shift. 
•    Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
